This is actually really cool. Thanks for uploading this!

RmxProject responds:

Thanks mate, appreciate it!

Hey there Cameron.

Where you been at man?!

Great track here man. It builds up great. The use of the pianos and arpeggiated synths add the the track nicely.

The drop is sexy like always. You always knew how to get great sound with those drops man. Not a lot I can say about this track really.

The only problem I can see is the snare sounds a bit loud and distorted. But then again that might have been what you were going for.

Great track man! I miss working with you lol.

Hahaha what's up dude? :D

Glad you like the song! I agree with the snare, but I really didn't care about mixing too much. I mainly just upload my crappy stuff to Newgrounds nowadays since I'm signed now :P

Thanks for the review...hit me up if you ever wanna make something :)

Chill Track

Loved the drums and the piano mix. Definitely sounds like a best of both worlds sound. The intesity of the drums and the soothing sounds of the piano.

The background synth really added to the song though it was quite subtle. Subtle is a good thing.

1:20 was my favorite part. That sound you used was beautiful. The melody is quite catchy too. Also, you might wanna look into switching up the chord progressions to keep things interesting. It all sounds bit repetitive.

Great work man!

I didn't touch the piano in the 2nd part as I was afraid I would just destroy the melody xP On the other hand, I *could* have tried tho...

Thanks for the review (:

Great Voices!

Loved all the different voices! You definitely have a lot of talent.

I especially liked the personality at :52. Definitely had a lot of power and drama.

I guess my problem is with the quality of the recording. I could be wrong, but I kept hear a bit too much "s" in some of the voices. For example :30 and 1:15. I just felt that the treble was too pronounced. I don't know much about voice recording or acting though :/.

All in all it was pretty incredible. You better get a job voice acting somewhere!

Wonderful thanks! Seems that the one at :52 is a reocurring favorite. I don't even remember what it was from, but I'm glad I included it! :)

Another reocurring little problem it seems and, since it's been said, I can hear it as well. I didn't really master my audio all that much, but next time I'll make sure I don't bring out too much of that hissy treble.

Again, thanks! And I hope so too! :) I'm broke!

Very cool mix of genres!

Sounds like a great composition. The strings and drums sound beautiful.

At :38 it reminds me of people marching into battle. It had a very Asian sound to it.

At 1:14 I LOVE the idea you're going for. My problem was that the wobbles were just not intense enough for me. It's not that there's not enough of them, they just need to be more pronounce and bassy. If you could possibly go back and tweak it sometime let me know and I'll check this track out again just for that part.

1:32 Cowboys. It definitely sounds very western but still had a bit of that Asian feel from earlier in the track. All I can imagine is Cowboys vs. Samurai. Which is pretty bad ass in my honest opinion.

Good track! I enjoyed listening.

Rampant responds:

Huh, I never noticed the Asian tint to the sound, but I hear it now that you've mentioned it.

As for the wobbles, I'd definitely love as much feedback as I can get on those... dubstep isn't my main genre, but I'm looking to improve as much as I can in the genre and, as you can see here, blending it with some... unexpected genres :)

Thanks for the vote and the review,

A lot of work went into this.

I really like how you brought the song in. The use of the white noise and the panning synth really set the mood. The subtle use of the drums and the bass line really added the track, but I feel that it almost took away a bit of the ambiance of the song.

I especially like it around 4:00 where things start to get more intense with the strings. Almost reminded me of somethings straight out of a Halo scene or Perfect Dark. The string built up the song beautifully.

5:10 is probably my favorite part personally. The drum rolls you used into the cymbal crash brought a whole new mood to the track really putting me right into the action.

At 6:25 where nearly everything drops out made things suspenseful. Very nice change to the song. I can really imagine people landing on a strange new planet.

Excellent work! I'm glad I got to listen to this!

Excellent quality!

From what I can hear its mastered quite well and fits the genre perfectly, at least in my opinion it does. No complaints here.

I'd really like to know what you used to master this track. More specifically the compressor and EQ.

Glad to see you on the top 5 with me. (I'm really not to happy with the top 2 though...)

ZaronX responds:

I promised all my friends I'd only be upset if I was beaten by a crappy game remix. I got into the top 5, much to my glee, but lo, in the top spot, a Zelda attempt that is... it leaves something to be wanted, let's say? Amazes me what kinda things get on the top list from game nostalgia.

I think Erik (blackhole) got to you about this already since he did some final touch-ups for me, but the mastering is largely done with FL's Fruity Visual EQ 2 thing, and the only compression my little brain understands at present to any degree is the default limiter, albeit beaten into submission to stop sucking everything into a vortex of horror for the ears. I'm not particularly fancy.

I was thinking about this one too...

I've been obsessed with DKC2 lately. I remixed "Enchanted Wood" and "Rattle Battle" and this was the next one on my list haha. I love what you did with it. It sounds awesome. I just wish you would have added your own feel to it. It just sounds like a cut and paste copy of the original.

Regardless, its a nice tune and I enjoyed listening to it. :)

seel responds:

That's cool, I was playing through DKC2 for the 5th time I think when I decided to make this, the whole game truly is a masterpiece. I'm glad you liked it, as far as personal touch I was contemplating adding in some guitar solos but I abandoned that idea for some reason... Perhaps another time.

Meh.

4 Chord song. Boring, unimaginative, and just plain bad in general.

eatmeatleet responds:

here comes my first hater after I start doing everything correctly :)
Well I am not a musican and still learning. I want to use more complex compositions but maybe later. Not everyone is as good as you

Hm...

Could have potential if it didn't sound like shit lol. You need some new sounds. That piano sound makes me want to puke.

ForeverJustTonight responds:

Lol well come over to seans tomorrow and you can help me out. :D
